Print a Mood Sewciety pattern at a copy shop
Mood's free patterns come as dozens of home-printer pages. Choose the PDF on your phone; get one sheet and 36-inch roll panels a copy shop can print.
49 pages → 2 roll panels. Mood's "The Trillium Ensemble" joined 6 across and cut into two 36 × 84 in panels. Proof in 15 seconds, $5.

From Mood's print-at-home PDF to copy-shop panels
- Download the pattern from Mood Sewciety. Mood's free patterns come as one PDF of tiles meant for a home printer, often with a cover page and a size chart in front.
- Open Pattern Stitch and choose that PDF. You don't pick pages or count columns. The tool finds the cover pages, finds the grid by checking that lines continue across every join, and shows you the joined sheet.
- Look at the lines. Compare the proof with the page map on Mood's cover page. If a join looks wrong, tap "No. The lines don't meet" and it tries the next layout.
- Download the 36-inch roll panels. Most copy shops and pattern printers print on 36-inch rolls. The file starts with a one-page map, then one panel per page.
- At the shop, ask for pages 2 onward at 100%, actual size, on 36-inch bond, black and white. Measure the 1-inch square on a panel before you cut.
- Trim and tape. Neighbouring panels share a 10 mm strip. Trim one panel on its dashed line, lay it on the other, and tape where the + crosses meet.

Why Mood patterns need this
Mood Sewciety's 550+ free patterns are made for home printers. Big garments run to 40 pages or more, and there is no copy-shop file to send to a large-format printer. Several pattern print shops say plainly that they can't print tiled print-at-home files.
Pattern Stitch joins the tiles at their original size and then cuts the sheet into panels a 36-inch printer can take. It never scales the drawing: each panel is a window onto the same sheet.
Use the PDF you downloaded yourself from Mood. We don't host, sell or share patterns, and uploads are deleted after 24 hours.
What we tested, September 27, 2026
Mood "The Trillium Ensemble" (MDF207). 49 pages, 2.1 MB. The tool left out the cover, joined 48 pages 6 across, and cut the 1181 × 2083 mm sheet into two 36-inch roll panels. Proof in 15 seconds on the live site. $5.
Mood "The Bucket Hat" (MDF262). 8 pages. It left out the cover and size chart, joined 6 pages in one row, and turned the strip to fit one 36 × 48 in roll panel. Free, because it is 12 pages or fewer.
Scale check. A 100 mm square drawn on a sheet measured 100 mm (±1 mm at 2 pixels per mm) on every panel it landed on, and the 1-inch test square printed on each panel measured 1 inch.

Questions
Can I print a Mood Sewciety pattern at Staples or FedEx?
Yes, once it is a large-format file. Ask for an engineering or large-format print on 36-inch paper at 100% scale, with fit-to-page turned off. The print-at-home tiles themselves are the wrong shape for their printers.
How many pages does the tool accept?
Up to 100 pages and 10 MB per PDF. The Mood files we tested were 0.5 MB and 2.1 MB.
Does it keep Mood's size lines?
Yes. The drawing is copied, not redrawn, so every size line stays as it is. If a PDF has size layers, you can choose which sizes to keep on the free proof.
What if the guess is wrong?
Tap 'No. The lines don't meet' to try the next layout, or choose the pages yourself. The proof is free, so a wrong guess costs nothing.
Have the PDF on your phone?
Pick it, look at the lines, take the panels to the shop.
